Our Camps & Programs
From universally accessible high ropes courses and adaptive winter sports to traditional camp activities like swimming, boating, and campfires, SeriousFun camps help children living with serious illnesses – and their families – find belonging, build resilience, reimagine what’s possible, and have fun.
Always free of charge.
Specialized Camp Offerings
At SeriousFun, we recognize that living with serious illness impacts the whole family and/or support systems and have collaborated with our member camps to develop a variety of recreational opportunities in additional to traditional residential camp for kids.
Hospital & Community Outreach
We deliver the magic of camp right to bedsides and playrooms. With adaptive, child-driven programming, our staff and volunteers restore choice to kids who so often lack it.
Family Weekends
It’s play for the whole family! These programs offer families living with serious illness a rare opportunity to escape the demands of everyday life and just enjoy being together.
Sibling Camp
Camper siblings experience the healing power of laughter and adventure, guilt-free. With intentionally-designed programming, we know a touch of camp magic goes a long way.
Winter Adaptive
Adaptive skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing—we find a way to get every kid that wants to ride down the mountain. It’s a weekend equal parts excitement and relaxation with the family.
Bereavement Camp
For families who’ve lost a child through serious illness to reflect and celebrate life. Camp offers the chance to connect with others experiencing loss and journeying onward.
Medical Conditions Served
Over recent years, camps and programs within SeriousFun Children’s Network have actively served, and gained the ability to serve, hundreds of different and complex medical conditions – more than any single network of camps in the world.
SeriousFun Partner
Programs
In countries where the medical and psychosocial needs of children are often outside of what local resources can provide for, SeriousFun Partner Programs meets the needs of children who have been marginalized by their condition and by their community’s response.
Working in collaboration with other trusted international organizations, the programs offer children living with serious illnesses in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean the life-changing experience that children who attend a SeriousFun Camp in the U.S. or Europe get – an experience that helps them reclaim their childhood, restore their hope and renew their sense of possibility.
The result is locally designed, culturally applicable programs that excite, inspire and empower children all around the world.
